This was a game that I made with a fellow classmate in high school for a competition called SkillsUSA. our goal for this game was to make a fun Metroidvania and to challenge ourselves with working with tools we weren't used to like making 2D art and using unity. we feel as though we achieved our goal of making a game that was not only a great learning experience for us but is also a lot of fun for the players. during development, both Judah and I had to learn a lot each for our roles since it was my first time producing 2D assets and it was his first time coding in C#. learning the pipeline for this was essential to helping me better understand what it takes to complete work with a deadline and to work effectively on a team in a way that required me to be able to work independently without asking for help all the time.
